Ener-Vate win at ADE Awards!

We are delighted that the Leeds PIPES Energy from Waste District Heating Project won the 'Heat and Efficiency: Operational Award' at last weeks' Association of Decentralised Energy Awards, held at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in Fulham.

The Leeds PIPES network connects nearly 2000 homes and numerous businesses around Leeds City Centre to the heat network, providing low carbon heat and hot water, reusing heat which is already being produced at Leeds’s Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility (RERF) in Cross Green.

Ener-Vate's Associate Consultant Andy Kirwan, alongside the team from Vital Energi Utilities Limited and Leeds City Council were proud to be invited on stage to collect the award.

Andy Kirwan said "As a local Leeds lad, I'm proud and privileged to work alongside Vital Energi Utilities Limited and Leeds City Council in the development and expansion of the award winning low-carbon heat network, Leeds PIPES. It's a pleasure to help contribute to the city's drive and commitment in the transition to net-zero, and I'm very much looking forward to continuing the success of the project going forward."
