Ener-Vate team compete in Liverpool Waters Dragon Boat Race!
Competing in the Peel L&P Liverpool Waters dragon boat race is something our team look forward to every year!
At last weeks event, Team Vital Energi/Ener-Vate successfully achieved the fastest time of the day in the heats but unfortunately went on to be knocked out in the semi finals... congratulations to Avison Young & Fisher German LLP who were crowned champions!
Most importantly, an amazing £35k was raised for Claire House Children's Hospice, enabling them to provide specialist end of life nursing care to children and families across Merseyside.
Dan Halliday, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Claire House Children's Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to be the chosen charity for the Liverpool Waters Dragon Boat Race once again this year. Not only does it raise such an incredible amount of money for the hospice, but it’s great way for us to engage with so many fantastic businesses. It’s something we really look forward to and our staff love getting involved, despite finishing last every year! Thank you so much to Liverpool Waters for organising such a wonderful day, to Anchor for their sponsorship and for every team for fundraising for Claire House.”
Peter Baynham, Ener-Vate's Head of Consultancy, said: "Although this is the first Dragon Boat Race I have taken part in with the team, I know it is a highlight every year in the Ener-Vate calendar! We were delighted to have recorded the fastest time on the course alongside our friends at Vital and are proud of the huge amount of money raised for such a brilliant charity"
Thank you to the team at Liverpool Waters for a brilliant day!
