Andy Kirwan to run Manchester 10k to raise funds for Bolton charity
Ener-Vate Senior Consultant Andy Kirwan, alongside a team of colleagues from Peel L&P is running the Manchester 10k this weekend to raise funds for Bolton Lads and Girls Club, a brilliant organisation who support organisation who support thousands of young people and their families across Bolton.
The current cost of living crisis is adding extra pressure to those families already experiencing existing poverty, including food poverty. Bolton Lads and Girls Club are witnessing young people storing food for themselves or other siblings, unsure of when their next meal will be, skipping meals or going the whole day without eating, which effects their overall health and wellbeing and engagement in education or employment. The club are therefore dedicated to ensuring every child and young person receives a free nutritious hot meal everyday. Last month within their central Bolton Youth Centre, Infinity, they provided over 2,400 free nutritious hot meals for young people.
