Ener-Vate Appointed to develop Midlothian Council District Heating Scheme
Ener-Vate has been appointed to work alongside Midlothian Council to aid in the final development of its strategy to deliver low cost and low carbon heat via a District Heat Network to its locality. The strategy seeks to exploit the heat available from the Energy from Waste facility at Millerhill being constructed by FCC with one of the main heat off-takers being the new Shawfair town currently under development and construction.
Ener-Vate will aid Midlothian Council in project structure and final commercial modelling of the scheme as well as the necessary risk analysis, due diligence and Thermal Purchase Agreement required with FCC as heat supplier and the Heat Supply Agreement with the Shawfair development.
